You said it better (and nicer) than I could have. You can extend this to .NET Standard. I mean, I love .NET. You can have Rust and functional programming and whatever else. .NET gets the job done pretty much all of the time for me. But when

I like test recorders (Selenium IDE). They aren't brittle if you manually enter your selectors. Plus you can hook a test recorder up to your own code to fill in any gaps. I do wish they showed mouse movement, though. One I'd like

Okay, fine. I wish more people talked about Jeff Hawkins work at Numenta or cortical.io or sparse distributed representations. But in particular, Jeff's vision of understanding the neocortex is really cool stuff. If I could cast off th

I'd just write it in regular JavaScript. The time you spend learning x framework can be used to write the 5% of it's features you will actually use. People invoke framework names like they are casting +100 intellect buffs on thems

How is it nicer? It's a .NET shop but devs are free to use linux as their OS?

Honestly, this sounds like a pretty practical feature. Just do some basic arithmetic on key variables to let customer service know how much of that all too prescious resource (effort) they have to spend on that call. I think the real proble

Well how is my audience supposed to know what I have to offer until they have it in front of them? Before that it's just me telling them an idea. Even after it's done I would not expect users to start using it on their own. Then y

If you use it right you don't just vegitate. It makes you far better at many tasks and can be used to do epic amounts of work so long as you get your work that requires a lot of thinking done first.

My go to point on this subject is even if you have the perfect front end it won't save you from a slow DAL. I'm not sure why we aren't allowed to be full stack developers anymore because having a say in both the front and bac

Would you mind entertaining a naive question? What makes redhat worth it? What would make a company choose redhat over Ubuntu (or any flavor of Debian) in 2018?

This is why I find the idea of promoting "mental health awareness" to be disturbing. It's far too tempting to say you know why someone acts some way, or that the way they are acting is a disorder, based on one or two observat

Removing jQuery would definitely improve your page loading time for a lot of reasons. You're getting rid of all those plugins you were talking about plus you get rid of jQuery itself which I remember being like 12,000 Kb? Plus as jQuer

Is this for anyone or is it just posturing? I mean anyone doing ML knows that if you train an algorithm on a biased dataset that it will, surprise, learn to be biased. It's not at all inherent or restricted to unfair treatment of any g

Why not a Raspberry Pi? Boot into bash and you have what you wanted. 3D print some cases (or buy them) and pick up some cheap monitors. The whole setup would be maybe $50 per computer.
