I called it that too! My backup was, "well, when your UI is designed by Hasbro". It really did have that Duplo Block look to it. When run at very high resolutions, it did get a bit better.

For the same reason almost ALL old companies that have existed in the tech sector for more than 20 years use more than one language/framework/programming practice/etc... Things grow, things get acquired, things languish.

I still recall coming across the "Sams Teach Yourself Tcl/Tk in 24 Hours" book at my office. I had been doing Linux Samba administration at that time and some of the tooling was written in tcl. So I brought the book home. It

Carbon Black is one of the most evil pieces of software I've ever seen. Back in the late 90s, early 2000s there was a trojan that did pretty much all the same stuff this thing does. The worst part about it is that I could barely use my

I lived through Microsoft purchasing Hotmail and trying repeatedly to migrate it from FreeBSD to IIS/Windows2000. We may have a good 20 years.

I don't have such a problem with browser makers putting their own ideas into their software. If Google wants to put a Flutter runtime into Chrome, great, go ahead. Where things fall apart is when they prioritize these projects ahead of

I used the original vMac! I had a Mac SE that I tried to pull the rom from. I ended up having to find a rom from "the internet". It was the holy grail at that point in my life. I had the demo version of Excecutor (from ARDI - a cl
