It's easy to learn new languages, hard/slow to learn the ecosystem... We should get better at creating mixed-ecosystems and cross-language libraries... the JVM was a step in the right direction but most new development complete

It is connected... until the project start, eg. in the broad general planning phase, when you press "start" it gets disconnected and stays that way until you ship a usable (±new) version. Once the wheels are in motion you can on

Thanks for making me curious... Cool new developments, didn't touch Java in a while! > Records are the impl of dataclasses This is ofc backwards/reverse of any sane logic that would start with value types and after invent refer

interesting... so `inline class` would behave like `struct` in C#? Took them a while (and I'd imagine it's one reason why game engines like Unity, Godot etc. chose C#), but cool!

Why the heck would anyone try to implement differentiable programming in a language with no meta-programming features whatsoever?! It's like trying to put a car into orbit or smth...

I'm a software engineer and I disagree: I very often use jupyter to "pop open a shell intro a production service and start interactively debugging stuff live" (over an ssh tunnel, no public open ports and other security consi

Why tf would they diminish staff levels NOW?! Train conductors are practically isolated from the passengers and quite safe. They should increase their staff levels in these times!
