Lots of tools are better as websites - however underhand motives often mean mobile apps get pushed more and have done for years. Inevitably someone pops up to say "but what about essential feature X that you can't do well on the w

I agree on one hand, but on the other if you take this approach, eventually the number of changes will be enormous and the cause of any issue that crops up may be that much harder to pin point. If you keep somewhat up to date, it's sma

Yes, this drove me nuts. And was even more annoying because Google Support were totally unaware and acted like morons - it was about 30 minutes before I realised they had no clue what they were investigating and were just blindly plodding a

It only seems to go wrong on their main page. Look at the page on a wide monitor or with a mobile sideways and i think you'll see the issue: the page is designed to have a left column, which is right aligned so that it goes flush with

To be fair, people disregard the prior experience with other people too, so they're not necessarily treating bots that differently here. I had this in the supermarket the other day: went through an issue with the first person, they exp

Just to clarify a little, I'm not making the case that it was the right thing to do to post the NFTs, it's purely on whether unapproved portraits are allowed. Things like caricatures and satirical pictures do appear to be enabled

IANAL but the legal concerns with an unauthorized portrait seem something of a stretch - it's not promoting something else, the portraits were the product and thus I'd be surprised if they were covered. This is clearly very differ

Yes, I'd love something simple like this that is cheap, you plug in and it "just works" without any faffing. Microphones on computers can be such a source of pain - maybe not quite such a nightmare as printers, but it seems l

Maybe it's different in some places but your delivery example seems like it would rarely cause problems as deliveries are usually addressed to addresses with a house name/house number and/or flat number, so they'd ring t

It's really cost plus a chance they'll get away with it (or the team/mgr hiring will have moved on by the time it's found out). If it were cost but they were guaranteed to get caught they wouldn't do it.

How is the latency and, if it's sufficiently low, could this realistically be applied to "nearly live" content? That scenario seems really appealing for conferences, even if it just quietens down the verbal ticks, but I'

Sounds like being the FB equivalent of an IRL hoarder! Why not drop out the groups and rejoin in the unlikely event you really do need them later? Most people I know get by very well with no FB groups at all.
