Lower fees for more or less everything, better feature velocity, bill splitting, monzo.me links, a CEO I actually trust, supporting a consumer-first company, better payment authentication (their 3D-whatever sends you a tap-tp-authorise noti

Doesn't the counterfactual matter rather a lot here? I'm reminded of Tim Minchin's "If I didn't have you"

Require companies that sell online to offer an open API so it's easy to aggregate? Sounds nuts, but not that different from open banking (PSD2) in the EU.

I started as a 10 year old with a "for dummies" book and finished an MEng in CS this year. So some people do benefit from it a great deal, it seems.

I did a crazy thing and used sapper[0] for a recent static site. It has a beta feature that allows for exporting a static page, and it worked really well for me. Fast, modular, es6 and little setup. Would definitely use it again. [0] https

All the biggest gains I've seen in editors are, in order of importance, inline doc lookups, easy local file search with file-customisable ignores, quick file opening with fuzzy search and Emmet abbreviations. Does anyone know how Kakou

Unclear whether this was an ingenious comment that points out the daft American multi-word expression "I could care less" also means it's own opposite. But, I'ma guess probably not.

As someone who gets the train a lot (Brit) - the big expensive ones have to stop due to issues very frequently because of this head-of-line blocking issue. I'd say ~1/4 of the trips I take half a delay of some sort for this reason

Are there really no commercial products that support this? I'd be keen to buy one that did, current fallbacks seem fairly crazy by comparison.

I think you've missed the point slightly. This paper looks at two cases, one of which is the "two images, two embeddings, one operation" (eg siamese-style). They note that this works well. They then go on to note that the pro

Hm, this seems vaguely interesting-if-true but: 1) It's not published in a good CV journal. 2) It seems quite likely that they've just identified the problems described and fixed by [0, 1] (of which [0] is the much better paper).

This was, very likely, an article in actual-printed-paper wired magazine. They blat them up after a short delay. I used to cover-to-cover it pretty regularly, and these long form articles/headline combinations are great in that situati
