I read Kabloona by Gontran de Poncins a couple decades ago and it's stuck with me ever since. I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned online before. It's high on my list of books that should be top-rated classics, bu

The article has a section "Why Scots/Doric are not included" that covers this: "This map is specifically of the English language, and Scots (and its subset, Doric), are not English." It then links to another articl

I think 'nopinsight' and the paper are arguing that the drop is 10%, not that the final score is 10%. For example, Deepseek-R1 dropped from 96.30 to 85.19. Are you actually arguing that a child guessing randomly would be able to

Along those lines, one big thing I worried about when reading your article was whether the camera's auto-white-balancing might be throwing everything off. I'm not sure how it works on an iPhone, but I'd suspect that presence

Where the final '!' means 'factorial' not just an emphatic 6. "6 factorial" is 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720.

I'm ignorant of the mechanics of these sales. My guess would be that Canada sells these Treasury bonds on the open market. A day later, some millions or billions of USD appears in their account somewhere. Where is this account? What

Do you think they really mean "per liter" of the actual sample or is this possibly the amount in an already diluted solution that they made from the sample? It seems like an odd unit of measurement otherwise. What would have been
