This is no longer the case in the two schools I’m familiar with. I went for cheap 20 years ago, but my younger siblings did not. Not even a discount

Ugh I had someone ask me to debug a verbally communicated error message in an interview. Like they picked some random port configuration issue that had stumped them for days in the past and thought cool let’s remove the internet, the comman

Many people say this when they’re young. Almost no one goes through with it. Maybe the drooling isn’t as bad as you think.

I was always under the impression that the GOP claimed the title "rule of law party" Also, your paraphrasing of her quote is uncharitable at best. I believe she said “We are a free-market economy. [Congress] should be able to part

Debatable. The 2014 coup was about as on brand for US imperialism as you can get. Victoria Nuland dictating exactly who would be in and out of the next govt in a leaked state dept recording: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WV9

Single family homes in Marin, yes. Our last rental was sold in 2022 for 1.57, in 2017 in the exact same condition for 1.05m, in 2010 pre remodel .57m. Not sure about rental data but it was already crazy expensive to rent in Marin in 2014. I

Just here in the Bay Area, prices have doubled while rents have gone up maybe 5% in desirable areas post pandemic and are still way down in SF. Just moved into a bigger place with a pool for $100/m more than my last rent (Marin county)

A minor fall on a bike that results in a blow to the head can kill you or give you major brain damage. I am not a social person and I know as in we would hug if we saw each other 2 people who had life altering brain damage not wearing a hel

I was explicitly told by a mortgage broker in January that RSU's don't count in income calculations. Made the difference between me qualifying and not (for a 10% down jumbo, which was admittedly a stretch).

Too late to edit if someone stumbles on this. I meant Korg Gadget. Module Pro is free with gadget, so don’t buy that oops.

Korg Module is the best noodler out there and it’s 20 bucks. I’ve tried a few portable hardware sequencers, but module on my phone fits the bill so much better. Just finished a verse and got halfway through a chorus on a 30 minute ferry rid

I don’t understand your poker sentence. Playing poker professionally is not a retirement, and no one really playing poker for income is addicted, I can assure you (at least not for long). These days, playing live is the only way to get an e

I burn about as easily as anyone, but 20 mins on each side with my face and neck covered doesn’t result in a burn for me. I do wear mineral sunscreen on my face, neck and arms for normal outdoor activities.

If you want a keyboard, you can pick up an old 90s rompler for around that price. Love the keybed and build quality on my alesis qs6, but I just use it as a midi controller. If you just want knobs and sliders, look at something like a used

Y’all are taking it way too literally. I take it as hard times make it clear what’s important and inspire people to work towards that. In good times people forget.

I was very confused why Russia felt the need to meddle in US politics reading coverage of 2016. If we look at the timeline, US signaling intent to expand nato lines up perfectly with Russia’s belligerence, and it’s not exactly subtle. Putin

I was a freshman in college at the time and we discussed it in a geography class. We all agreed that a nation state based approach to the problem of terrorism was absurd, but there was no way any US president would do anything less. Remembe

Reading this thread, it’s funny how universally identified with wizards software engineers are. It’s not just the arcane knowledge and elaborate incantations. I actually think musicians and athletes possess more of this type of ability. Mov
