Casio makes some tremendous keyboards these days. The Privia line is across the board excellent and can be found used for $250 or less. Adding my vote for never ever touching an “el cheapo” instrument. A junk keyboard and guitar made me thi

From what I understand, lithium iron is actually less power dense than the latest lithium ion, but it can handle more charge cycles and it’s less volatile nature allows manufacturers to break away from the commoditized cells paradigm. It’s

Usually this is paired with dividends paid equally to everyone. As you said we don’t have the sophistication to apply reimbursement fairly to those affected.

Seems like we are on the verge of this becoming relevant for robotics. Things could get pretty weird when we have small enough drones that they can take advantage of the physics of tinyness.

This seems like an obvious play for donations. I find it hard to believe the author really doesn’t know that they can host their Wordpress site anywhere, yet they say “I don’t know what treehouse 2.0 will look like”, etc. The comments are f

My dad sued my mom for less custody, but it was mostly about my autistic sister (so I told myself). He’s a legendary school teacher where I live, so it’s real fun when people come up to us and ask me what it was like having such an amazing

The article says the majority of them don’t live together. My parents had a terrible divorce, but I remember shuttling between two homes, two beds, two sets of clothes being the worst part.

I’d prefer it to be explicit. Would be nicer for the really smart poor kids who just miss the genius level required to get in to a Harvard without being rich. I’d rather think “if my family had money, I would’ve gotten in” than “I’m just no

Seems like a lot of banning. Why not just prosecute the ad network for conspiracy to commit wire fraud whenever a fraud case is tried that involved online advertising? It’s one thing for a platform to not be responsible for free content, bu

This seems like a variation on fractals. We’ve established that the experience of time can fully stop. When stopped, infinite fractals can play of the same moment.

I think it’s more that our sober human perception of time and space is a filter we all share and reason about. All clocks tick at more or less the same rate, but a second is meaningless without the “human standard” filter.

The web components under the hood would still need a way to program themselves in response to that data, so a templating language would need to be baked in along with data binding. Secondary languages are a bad idea, so hopefully this templ

This interview process selects for someone with whom the interviewer might enjoy having meetings. I’d imagine it’s very hard to distinguish between a good talker and a good worker. Maybe some people can do it, but this is not a skill set I’
