At some point there needs to be a supreme court decision that reconciles the legality of no-knock warrants with castle doctrine/self-defense/second-amendment. My understanding of the current state of things is that in some jurisdi

I have a fond memory of camping outside a Target from ~10:00p to 6:00a when the Wii was launched. We hung out with a group of strangers in camping chairs, talked about our favorite games, and tried to keep warm. When the Starbucks bakery

I'll second this recommendation. I started using Anylist last year and it's incredible. My weekly grocery flow goes like this now: - Skim a few recipe sites for anything new I want to try - 1-click import them to Anylist (using

If you're using something that supports it (like Github) a good middle-ground would be auto-merging PRs. Branch from main -> code -> PR w/ automerge -> move on to the next task. This would give you speedy merges to main

Same here. Spotify claims it's the podcast producers' doing when ads are inserted this way. It still miffs me. One of the conditions of being a paid content provider for Spotify should be that you provide an ad-free experience

California's vehicle registration fee factors in several things, the most influential (I think) being price, which is probably why Tesla registration is higher than most gas cars. I've seen $500+ registration fees on ICE trucks.

I'm not following why any of that matters to the cost of an x-ray. If there's a gunshot wound and there needs to be a nurse attending to the patient while the x-ray is being taken, the nurse is an extra cost, separate from the x-

These laws continue to be abused by law enforcement to bully business owners who are operating in gray areas of the law, whether the gray-ness is caused by misaligned state vs. federal laws or unclear licensing and operation requirements.
