The emission loophole is part of the reason but the main one, I believe, is that the US vehicle manufacturers have used a boat load of advertising and other methods to convince people, over the last 60 years, to buy trucks and then SUVs due

It would just be for very long flights. 45 minutes from New York to New Zealand instead of 17hr. That is a big difference. Plus you get to go into orbit (or close to it) for an amazing view/ride. You would have a huge number of people

Thanks for this info. This is the sort of response I was hoping for as the media reports don't talk about the undying situation. And it's Musk not Musky. ;)

From what I understand Tesla employees in Sweden do not want to join a/the union. The IF Metall union I believe. So these actions are unions trying to force people to do something they don't want to do. If people are happy working

I use electrical tape to tape over bright LEDs, especially ones in the bedroom. The light generally will still be visible and you can add layers to get the brightness you desire. The tape also comes in many colors so you can match the devic

California homeowners pay property tax on the "assessed value", i.e. of the home. This value generally starts at the purchase price and then goes up with the lower of either inflation or 2%. The tax rate is the same for everyone b

Total market index funds don't go to zero. You would have a bond fund and stock fund and rebalance to more stocks as you get nearer retirement. Sure, but maybe not when there have been very low interest rates for a long time. Holding c

Somehow the "safety" of bonds were not adjusted as yields reached and sometimes went below zero. A multi-year zero interest bond is not a very safe investment. I did have that default setting on a retirement account and got out of
