He's Polish. No idea what made you think Dutch, I couldn't see any common "Dutchglish" errors. :)

True, but in terms of privacy those kinds of ads are mostly a non-issue (and speaking for myself, I'd probably be happy to see them).

I'm not Dutch, but moved here around 18 months ago and the rail system is one of my favourite things. City to city is one thing, but many many small villages are linked by slower trains. Sometimes I've caught trains to small villa

Can anyone explain why you wouldn't pay the lowest price you could for an acquisition?

Its death wasn't rapid. RDRAM, though, that was rapid. But that was only a fraction of Netburst's problems.

There aren't many of these kinds of lanes here (NL), at least in the cities.

That's a more difficult problem to fix. In Sydney, there are quite a few cycle lanes popping up but are almost all dominated by enthusiast cyclists in lycra on sports bikes, and I'd rather cycle on a road than deal with them. In t

An intermediary message broker can give you a HUGE benefit though. A touch more robustness (a service can disappear for a short while and hopefully nobody even notices), you get load balancing "for free" (with carefully designed s

I think I'll take a look at it, my guess is the layouts might be tricky to translate but with some sensible hard coding perhaps not too bad. Sadly the state of C#'s Qt and GTK libraries weren't great last I looked.

I wonder if it would be possible to extend this API to have a "GTK" or "Qt" backend, for simple GUI apps.

I still don't understand why, in every thread about C#, someone has to start a thread about "why does anyone even use C#". Do you have the same attitude towards every programming language, or only some? Which programming lang

Perhaps Almere, but I wouldn't call what you'd get there for 300k "huge", although you'd get a house rather than an apartment most likely.

Regarding the VNC point in your post, I’ve experimented with this a whole lot in recent times getting a good remote desktop solution going. TigerVNC server, using its embedded X server, plus the TigerVNC viewer, work absolutely perfectly. E

Gotta bump it sometime, although the fact that the major version is now fairly arbitrary gives some credibility to what I like to call the "Chrome" versioning scheme. Next release, Linux 6, 7, 8, etc. EDIT: I mean, at this point I

Perhaps it's simply that there's still a little insecurity around writing an application in Go, and authors feel the need to justify it. I think it's unwarranted, though.

What's the point in coming here and trying to spread lies? Apple regularly highlights accessibility features and I'm fairly sure they're among the leaders in the tech field, if not THE leader.
