IMO, if you’re burnt out I am not sure that’s the best time to take on a risky endeavor. Taking risks means dealing with a greater chance of failure, regardless of how calculated that risk may be. I don’t think one can reason about failure

I think if you frame thoughts as the biochemical product of a set of neuron activations, then maybe the answer is no, there cannot be an infinite possible many thoughts because biochemical reactions can be deterministic, and stable biochemi

Do physicists think time actually exists? I wonder if someone has reasoned that time is an accounting method that humans have developed to make sense of their experienced change of systems. Wolfram uses the words progression and computation

I am unconvinced that requiring AM radio in new cars is just “fan service” or outdated. Emergency scenarios often require a PSA (public service announcement), and it’s easy enough to envision a scenario where communications degrade in succe

I like the idea of this! But is there any reason to be concerned about walled gardens in this case, like how Apple does with its iOS ecosystem? For example, what if access to model weights could be revoked. There is a lot of interest in reg

I am excited about human augmentation, and I don’t see much work, research or funding in this space outside of work in genetics. If I get the time some day, I may do a blog post on the topic.
