I've been doing front-end development in some capacity almost as long as you, but it's not my forte. I've looked at Tailwind and I can see its value as a way to quickly prototype, but it also looks to violate the deeply insti

I was questioning the claim that cars hit people as frequently as scooters do on sidewalks. It seemed unlikely to me, but I don't live in a major city. I appreciate you taking the time to share links. I read each and they're sad s

The author isn't saying one way is better than the other and he's not saying one type is happier than the other. He postulates people are wired one way and trying to work in a style incongruous with that type are causing themselve

Logseq uses Markdown files for all of your pages and journal entries. However, it doesn't support nested directories, choosing to embed "%2F" in the filename instead. That is quite ugly. The only thing Logseq doesn't use

I'm not typically one to point at the HN guidelines, but you could have made your points and been informative without the insults. It's not helping anything and leading to otherwise unnecessary defensive back-and-forths.

No, but I'm sure you're aware that publishers/developers can make versions that run on each platform and license them in more consumer-friendly ways. I've bought non-SaaS desktop apps that come with license codes for eac

I have two viable options, ignoring 5G and satellite services. The one I'm on is the lesser of two evils. And I've largely neutralized the primary concern I have with the ISP I'm on. Where would you like to move the goal post

My VPN provider (Mullvad) doesn't have my full name, address, and social security number. They could build a profile off my account number, sure, so I have to trust that they're not. If they actually aren't, fantastic, I win.

You can apply the new-style filters against existing emails in the "preview" window. That won't help if you're heavily using custom Sieve scripts, but it does handle a lot of common scenarios for me.
