Its more of a hobby project. Have a spare Rpi 3b and Usb GPS dongle from another project. Plus, saw some cool projects on the nixie sub. Figured, it would make a nice looking retro clock in my home office. The USB dongle is a big finicky.

I've been wanting to build a Raspberry Pi controlled Nixie clock - but instead of a Atomic Clock, I'm going just use a USB GPS dongle. Also set it up as a NTP server for machines on my home network.

Sure EVs don't pay gas tax..but in lot of states , there is a higher tag renewal fee for EVs. In my state , I pay almost double the annual renewal fee for my EV every year.

That BLE adapter plug looks very similar to the port where the controller plugs into for my Ikea bekant standing desk. I'm curious if it works with the bekant. Since same company makes parts for Ikea. thanks for the link. Do you know

Yes. Definately some overlap. Just as you stated, the number 3. It's similar color as letter E. A Purple-maroon shade. Also S and 5 are somewhat similar. Both are blue-ish. No overlap on number 6. Its always light blue. Same for 7, i

So couple of things might have helped shape the way I assign colors or structure to things. At least that's my theory - For numbers and letters, I think that might've come from pre-school alphabet or numbers book. I've alway

I think I do. As far back as I can remember - I've always seen numbers & letters in vivid color. As well as things like calendar/datetime, distance and direction in some type of geometric shape. I though that was how everyone

does it always have to be a ring? I've always imagined a year vertically/top down. Each month a slice. Also alphabet letters in color. Each letter having a distinct color.

Is The Expanse really Hard Sci-Fi? I get that the space flight physics and tech involved could be considered hard Sci-fi. But in later books and show season - the whole gate network is quite a bit handwavy.

Bought a Ender3 3d Printer last year during the lockdown. It cost me about $150. Took me about 3 months of learning, lots of mistake, trial and error before I was able to get decent and useful things to print. But its a great starter printe

Client affinity with server is due to Signalr. Since server-side blazor uses signalr to pass the changes between client & server. Might be a easy fix with sticky sessions. But haven't come across anyone that has tried it.

But at least you have a 64-bit version of Visual Studio on the MAC. Something devs using windows have been wishing for long time. Supposedly VS 2022 is going to be the first 64-bit VS on windows.

Isn't load balancing still an issue with server side blazor? Because of SignalR for the delta between server and client?

For some of us, we turn it into a hobby. Only difference is that the technical knowledge and experience gained at work, can also be applied at home. (without a lot of restrictions).

Oh I definately agree, Delphi was a better dev tool compared to VB at the time. No runtime needed to be shipped, standalone fully compiled executable alone was the killer feature.

I have one son and one daughter. This has been my experience as well. Both of them are teenagers now. Dealing with my son is a lot easier now compared to my daughter. Just a few years ago, it was the opposite.
