Exactly. Every developer, working on any platform, might tweet stuff like that from time to time. Coming from someone of his experience it's definitely interesting as HN discussion, but completely insane as a Yahoo!Finance story (with AAPL/

If the price is comparable I think Apple will maintain leadership, regardless of platform openness (at least in the short term). It remains to see if Apple would be interested at all in competing at the low range. They mostly avoid it in th

They are correct about the iPhone, and will be correct about the iPad - it's not really about closeness in this case, but price. Cheap Android tablets are already popping up and Apple will probably prefer maintaining their domination of the

People who put $119m into Ning either believe there will be a bigger sucker to sell it to (hey, AOL is still around) or are the kind who reads Wired & TechCrunch seriously and get star struck when a Valley celeb attaches their name to a

I'm happy for the author and wish him success. But the assumption that being a good developer can make you rich is misleading. Reading PG may create the impression that building a successful company is an engineering-like process, determini

All this was before unemployed people could spend 12 hours a day killing people in Call Of Duty 4, though. I think the availability of cheap distraction ( interactive distraction at that) might have some effect here.
