There's no requirement that type annotations be accurate. With hidden classes and such it likely wouldn't matter much. You'd need them anyway for full dynamism

The "trick" is the default install bit. OpenBSD's default install is very limited. Since there's basically nothing enabled, the surface is limited. They still pop up every few years or so.

I tried to use an iPad air since the processor is more than adequate for me. The software experience is trash. Great for single tasking but just awful for doing two things or more. Facetime inexplicably behaves differently when minimized fo

It'll be a huge victory for lattice-QCD if the computational result is true.

Everyone assumed the correct limit was just Newton's gravity, but it's abundantly clear that can't be right what with gravitational waves existing. I think the author's, and other's points over the last decade or so

Bingo. Nuclear is just ridiculously expensive compared to Wind/Solar. You could overbuild 2-3x and maybe even add batteries. Big honking power plants of all flavors are just not economically viable. The SMR thing might work, but it

Not the zero matrix, or any non-invertible matrix over a field with 0 characteristic. The Jordan-Chevalley decomposition makes the difference precise -- the nilpotent part (off diagonal 1's in the jordan normal form)

`encoding/xml` has had broken handling of namespaces for a long time. It’s possible to hack it on but the only reasonable choice is to use a libxml2 binding which also gets you canonicalization, another can of worms. Unsurprised it can

The Austrian school is pretty famous for rejecting empiricism and basically saying it's their way or nothing; it may come to valid conclusions but because they reject any evidentiary evaluation of their assumptions its unfalsifiable (a

It’s a very serious response. XML is a defective technology that has no place in the modern web. Perhaps the only successful bit is SVG, for lack of a better alternative. MathML is a failure — katex and mathjax do a fundamentally better job

You can make your point without the theatrics. This is a philosophical distinction, not an objective fact. I do not consider sqlString to be impure. It’s a perfectly valid string. I consider `executeQuery sqlString :: IO Result` to be an in

It doesn't. That's the whole point of the io monad. Outside of the io monad you cannot (modulo some exceptions) indicate io.

The io monad is fully pure. The interpretation of the io monad? That's another story. Once you realize that mutation itself is a side effect then why not use the single most powerful idiom we have for abstraction over side effects? (Mo

It really is. High level programming languages were the original "no-code" compared to assembly of course. That said: no-code is not "no engineering"

No I mean centrifugal. It's a fictitious force, an artifact of choosing a rotating non inertial coordinate frame. Gravity arises similarly, by being in a non inertial frame induced by mass energy https://en.m.wikipedia.org&#
