Security questions aren't really that secure anyway. A "real" hacker could just pretend to be helping out a friend after a debilitating accident and ask for everything to be reset.

> First, technically returning 9 for a test of add(4,5) is correct. Your tests define what the function does, not the name. You are technically correct that testing "add(4,5) == 9" is valid. However, everyone already knows that

What are the moral implications of doing this voluntarily? This seems "easily" reversible by just having the chip removed.

Seems weird to claim Red Hat failed. Even if their revenue is tiny compared to Microsoft or Amazon they are still on a chart measuring market cap by billions of dollars.

Abbreviating as lst is just bad. You saved one character. And now people have to guess whether you meant list, last, localString, or first.

In an ideal world developers never push something with broken tests to CI. When developers don't run the tests locally it seems like a sign that there are too many bloated integration tests and not enough fast unit tests.

I agree Facebook is currently designed around serving ads. But it didn't start that way and I don't think most people use Facebook to watch ads.

You seem to have confused the concept of bad tests with incomplete tests. Asking to stop the car when pedestrian shaped obstacles appear seems like a bare minimum that we should expect from an AI before letting it drive on real roads. We ca

Unity's roll-a-ball tutorial is pretty good for starting out with their IDE and also gives some decent exposure to C# basics. https://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/s/roll-ball-tutorial

What images are you comparing? One issue might be that three spheres floating in space just isn't something most people see in real life.

I think a lot of the problem comes from Rails ease of setup. You can get Devise working in about 10-20 minutes. Then you want to customize something and it takes an afternoon to figure out. With any other framework that's par for the c

MIRTS is actually an incredibly shallow take on RTS. I remember playing an extremely similar game back in 2007 and I also remember thinking that game was extremely similar to design docs that I had seen people blogging about a few years ear

"trust but verify" Sometimes you want to ignore webhooks based on the payload (or put them into a different queue). It's faster to do that if you get the payload up front.

It's also really handy when API providers give a nice webhook UI that lets you view and resend webhooks during development.

That isn't how it always works. In some countries when the other party agreed to pay $30 up front then they would be considered the winner. You would pay their legal fees for trying to extort $27,970.
