I don't use Chrome (I don't use Google products) and I wasn't defending it. It's a critical bug in the browser, but that doesn't mean it's okay for Netflix and Facebook exploit it.

Of course, that isn't a defense for disabling the developer console (which should be considered a critical security issue): all of those were as stupid and immoral and indefensible as this.

Why can websites disable use of the developer console? That seems like a critical security bug,.

My anecdote isn't any more anecdotal than GP's assertion.

That isn't really a refutation of what I said. I'm saying that most people don't have the problems GP described: buying a game that is unplayable and not being able to get a refund. Not only are most people able to play the

I don't think this is correct. The majority of people never have those problems. Note too that they do give out refunds, but admittedly not as much as I'd like. However, they did refund Splinter Cell: Conviction (which didn'

Probably not. iTunes has its own sorting policy that may conflict with beets'. But you could still add them to the database without the sorting feature, if you just wanted to query files by tags.

From what I can see, it's just a Python script, so you should be able to use it anywhere there's a Python interpreter. It has some optional compiled dependencies for features like ReplayGain that may not work on ARM, however.

You're misunderstanding. There's nothing wrong with risk and adventure but there is very much wrong with investing everything you own. Just as it's unwise to invest that much in Bitcoin, it's unwise to invest that much

There are enough horror stories regarding businesses built on Twitter &c to serve as cautionary tales, but Google and Gmail in particular are notoriously anti-developer. It is a nightmare to work with Gmail because, and I'm not ev

Suffice to say: anybody who has JavaScript enabled by default demonstratably does not care about their security. Interest and competence in security is indeed a spectrum, but somebody in first grade math still knows what 2 + 2 is.

Building a platform on top of a Google product, specifically Gmail, is a recipe for disaster. I sincerely hope that nobody who cares about their money or sanity does so.

node.js decided uses very non-semantic versioning. It's genarally understood that a 0.x release isn't production-ready, but node.js is widely considered production-ready and in fact every even-numbered release below 1.0 is consid

All of which can be done with less? It really doesn't make sense to load up a large file in a text editor and parse the syntax and such if it isn't going to be edited . There are already very good tools for text reading .

Why are you opening large log files in a text editor ? Editors are for editing. Use `less` for reading.
