Haha. For me, Mandrake was the first distro I broke my computer with, around age 12. I wasn't allowed around the computer for a few months, but I did learn a lot about bootloaders.

I can't think of any other definition of "bad" when it comes to programming. But I do appreciate your sentiment and realize I was being unjustly negative.

Bad developers. For example, I used Arch Linux for a number of years, where `/bin/sh` is a symlink to bash. Switching that to point to `dash` broke a number of programs both in the official repositories and the AUR. A lot of sh

Using `env` is very much a feature, not a bug. It's part of fish's philosophy to use programs rather than builtins wherever possible. It's good practice to use `env` even when using other shells.

No, 1200 is a pretty reasonable diet for weight loss if you're not getting a lot of exercise. For example, I (an early 20s dude) naturally burn about 1800 calories a day, and another 200 from walking to and from work. 2000 - 1200 = 8

Haskell can build self-contained binaries that don't require a 700MB compiler. Look for /-bin$/ packages.

It doesn't, GP has forgotten about `systemctl daemon-reexec` and `kill 1`.

You can add POP/IMAP and SMTP accounts and read, write and send emails directly in Gmail with the proper headers (i.e. no the "delivered by gmail.com" message on your emails.) I can't use my domain with Google Apps now,

This is first time I've seen the words "Apache is just easier" in that arrangement. I think php-fpm is significantly easier to set up than Apache and expect it to be more performant with less resources.

No, it hasn't. The web is a terrible, hacked-together mess. Things break often and catastrophically. HTTP 2.0 is layering on more hacks instead of trimming the fat.

Maybe the program only parses its first argument. The asterisk would need to be escaped, in any case, to prevent the shell from expanding it.

Spoofing your location at the DNS level doesn't work in a lot of cases. Specifically, the Netflix Android app and every Chromecast app is hard-coded to use 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4. To fool their geolocation you either need to reroute th
