I'm wondering why it's not more common to indent the stages in a multi-stage build. For me, it's a no-brainer to see at a glance 1. how many stages there are 2. how long they are 3. the dependencies Taking the example from th

What's Kotlin going to do about that? Will they adopt their syntax or make it use the same API internally? This seems just like another feature of the JVM mother language that diverges from the implementation of other often-used JVM la

If my application never sees a difference to normal JSON, everything is compatible and all there is are perf improvements, why is there a new set of functions to interact with it (jsonb_*)? It seems that the JSON type is even able to contai

SQLite’s source itself is being managed using Fossil, which uses an SQLite DB as a backing store (instead of a .git directory or similar). That’s a clever use, since the .git dir basically reinvents a database.

In my experience, the more a language is able to do, the more it will be used in ways that overcomplicate stuff. People will just pull in abstractions because they think it is needed. This is why I always avoid using Turing complete program

Seeing Java getting these features is a breath of fresh air. I wonder how this will impact Kotlin. Being compatible with Java was one of the goals for Kotlin. We soon have a lot of features in the JVM mother language that are solved differe

Having mutability/2-way-databinding makes angular hardly benefit from using TypeScript. State is just so much pain and it is hard to make impossible states not representable in the types. Angular requires a lot of extra steps to get th
