Ingress is free with most providers. Yes, of course it adds a bit pressure on the cpu, but yours would add latency, might add peering issues, additional costs, etc. and I have no control.

For me it's not a big deal, my app autoscales and rate limit details are stored in Redis, so it's super fast. For x100 the traffic it wouldn't even need to scale since it's simply hitting Redis.

Rails 8 introduced built in rate limiting, smilar to what you described. Since it's built in already I have no use for your service, but good luck!

Wow I already forgot about the touch bar. And imagine being so stubborn to keep the touch bar but introduce a physical ESC key, they lost their minds during that time.

The Pixel is not cheaper. When comparing the Pixel 10 to the iPhone 17, the iPhone offers double the storage for the same price, while having all other iPhone features.

I am probably the only one, but I like those new icons apart from the disk utility one. I think they are better than the old ones and follow more of the design standards of Tahoe (good or bad), so they fit better.

Has nothing to do with responsive design. They rewrote their frontend from server rendered templates to a SPA.

Is anyone actually using the collaboration features? Zed is my daily editor and I love it, but I've never touched the collaboration features, which is their "USP" when raising cash.

I am still using Firefox Dev Edition as my daily browser and honestly don't care about the 3 things you mentioned. It's a solid browser, works flawlessly and stable for me. I dig the dev tools and it's "fast enough"

Electron gets a lot of hate, but the web is the future and either a PWA or electron app are the easiest cross-platform way to deliver "installable" software.

Sorry but the GitLab UI was bad, is bad, the whole software feels clunky and slow to use and everything is nested where in comparison Gitea is simple, intuitive and straightforward, just like the old Github days. I also don't know if i

Yes, this is probably the #1 reason. Alerts go off, but you don't even know if they are for real issues this time.

Please also note that Hetzner is not providing CPU steal information inside of VMs. So there could be 75% steal and you wouldn't notice! It's unlikely for CCX instances, but it happened for me a lot with regular instances.

This concept is not new. What people also miss is that you can simply rent dedicated servers instead of going with AWS. Often times the cloud only gets compared to colo, but renting dedicated servers is actually way cheaper and you still do
