I don't think this is legal. If you are based in Germany and incorporate in a different country you have to tell the german authorities. For example if you found a Limited in the UK, you have to tell the German authorities and the Limi

It doesn't matter if you already have a full time job or not. Yes, you can do the Nebengewerbe/Einzelunternehmen while having a full time job. You should create an additional bank account and use that one for your side business, w

That's really bad advise, because he still has to pay taxes in Germany and Atlas creates a huge mess.

You have to pay taxes in Germany, it doesn't matter if you found a company in the US, Estonia or somewhere else, you are living in Germany and that's the important thing that decides you need to pay taxes there. In Germany you cou

1. While of course the main reason would be to get a "paid peering", the DTAG network is also very good to reach other destinations, so technically it makes it transit. 2.1. DTAG has a market share of around 40% in Germany. Withou

1 Gbps = 0,125 GB/s 0,125 * 86.400 (1 Day) = ~10,8 TB per day Theoretically you can also use inbound and outbound at the same time.

I know perfectly fine about this. It has nothing to do with being held hostage. DTAG simply wants to charge more money, which is just business. You can either pay it or not. Hetzner decided that it's not worth it for them, the victim i

It's through Core Backbone, has nothing to do with this "unlimited traffic" thing and it is NOT possible to add that option for their cloud services.

They should rather pay for DTAG transit than do such shenanigans.

I don't really see any benefit. Let's say I am hosting my app with DigitalOcean, instead of paying egress traffic ($10 per TB) I am now using Cloudflare as a CDN and they will wave the traffic pricing? Seems 1.) not really profita

Since using Atom for years now I am not up2date in regards to Sublime Text. Does it have a Git integration, or is this the tool that should be used instead of a editor integration?

First part is not true for their cloud offerings, I think it was only for their cheap brands like Kimsufi and SoYouStart. If your VM dies you are better off spawning a new one and migrate to the new one.

That's simply not true. OVH launched their cloud lineup years ago with locations everywhere around the globe. Sure, you get bare metal servers, but similar to EC2 you also get your "cloud" machines that are spawned within sec

No, you can even get single units, let it be through a reseller or directly.

This is a whole cabinet. 42 Units, that means you could put 2 switches and 40 Dual E5 systems with 384GB memory each. In this case the colo pricing doesn't matter at all, you could even pay 1000 bucks per month and wouldn't notice

You can also rent bare metal servers, you get ssh access so you basically don't have to spend more time than with a VM but have the bare metal power.

DNS is a byproduct because 99,99% of the people don't want to pay for it. This is why domain registrars are not bothering that much about it, they don't earn money with it. You can split it anyways, search for your favourite DNS p
