This is only a short summary. There is a couple of full reports on the main page of their website. Unfortunately, is is not very interesting because the study seems to rely almost completely on Facebook data. The effects on that platform w

Interesting read. Thanks for sharing. Maybe it is by lack of experience, but I always treat tarballs like a loaded gun. I extract then inside an empty subdirectory in my home first just to be sure and then move the data as required. It is n

I am looking at the graphs, and all I see is a substantial influx of new funds into cloud services. Non-cloud investments remain steady but are not experiencing significant growth. What does the volume indicate? Is the cost of on-premises i

There is already auto captioning done by YouTube. It would be trivial to plug an ai that generates tags and classify each videos based on the whole content. I am sure they already do that.

Interesting, I kinda understand since I work for a big org where everything is very slow because of bureaucracy and fear of changes but here the big projects were already forced to use 2fa. It would seem logical to force the contributors t

Why is the 2fa rollout going at such a glacial pace ? In July last year it was announced that the top 1% projects contributors had to use 2fa. It it because of pushback from the developpers, or maybe because it is not as easy it it seems ?

Those articles complaining about ads are always unclear to me. Are they saying that there is ads even when you switch inputs to a 3rd party device or is it just in the built-in media player?
