I know you're trying to avoid footguns - but how do you handle workflows where up-to-date rebases are required? Several repos I've been in ask for commits to be rebased to the latest branch for new changes to be PR'd in, and

Thanks for the atuin reminder, I knew fzf reminded me of a crate I had on my backlog to try out but I completely forgot the name. I should probably just get to it now.

When you have to use any documents within another country that doesn't list their original languages as official, not much, if anything at all, is machine-translated AFAIK. Is this not the case for most legal paperwork as well? You alm

I think there's a sizeable difference between a $100 grinder + press/moka or whatever and a $700~$1000ish kit for espresso people are touting here as "fun, cheap way to learn".

This is the last thing I expected to see on HN but after reading this I have to ask - is it ever remotely safe? Asking for a friend.

Great write-up. Where I'm based, there are not a lot of meditation retreats at all. It's often something that's not really talked about but even then I wasn't aware at all that these side effects were out there. The most

I had a teacher during my undergrad who promised us he'd pretty much only use Contiki for a very hands-on IoT course. I was really excited so I fiddled around with it during holiday break in anticipation, going a bit beyond the initial

What is with Rust and "Blazing™ Fast"? I know it should be a meme at this point but it's really getting stale and people don't seem to be using it as such.

It reminded me of Google Glass as in it reminded me of DoA product. To be honest though, I thought that they looked far less strange and more useful than these shoes. I still grieve for their passing.

A lot less at that. The title almost reads like satire. Also odd that the author is thinking of charging for pro-tips at the end of each blog post.

Is there any way to convert an existing Dockerfile to a Devbox setup in this? I usually rely a lot on other people's Dockerfiles and having a local setup ready instead would be quite handy, especially on macOS.
