Hi author here. If you end up with an invalid lock file, it doesn't silently fail and move on with a generated lock file. The `uv lock` command fails with a helpful message and then errexit from the shell script kicks in. The reason I

In theory this sounds good but in practice I'm not convinced there's a lot of value in the extension aspect. My desktop is 11 years old. It's an i5 3.2ghz quad core, 16 GB of memory, SSD machine that I built from individual p

How has the "pay what you want" model worked out if you don't mind me asking? It's something I've thought about in the past for selling courses.

It's still ok even without systemd. Technically systemd is disabled by default, you have to turn it on with systemd=true in /etc/wsl.conf. I can't find a definitive source with an open ticket but if you Google around for

The delay is related to starting WSL 2, not starting a systemd service btw. Maybe it's specific to Windows 10 Pro, who knows. I'm using the latest WSL 2 from the MS app store. I just know when I installed Docker directly into WSL

Yep but using 2 DBs within the same PG instance won't improve performance since it's using the same disk. Managing multiple DB instances across multiple hosts requires a lot more effort, configuration and doubles your hosting cost

That is a good example, but don't forget your DB will also be doing many other things besides managing jobs. In the Rails world of using the DB for everything you have your primary DB, solid queue, solid cache and solid cable. If you l

I did notice a very bad side effect. Yesterday I only pasted 1 line. When you paste in multiple lines using Neovim's normal paste key (p), it adds a Windows line ending to each line which you can see as ^M. This unfortunately makes pas
