To me its obvious that he is wrong. Great, now we can all just claim we are so incredibly smart and know anything based on feeling. Waymo is wasting tons of money driving around one city, that is literally the easiest city to driver around

Nobody in the autonomous car industry had produced anything yet. Tesla has the best system of those actually in use. Their arrogance is about as convincing as that of the rocket companies or car companies that didn't think EV were gone

Conspiracy level nonsense here. Elon tried to take Tesla private. He himself didn't want raise money on higher evaluation. He himself multiple times said they don't deserve the high stock. He has been an optimist on this technolog

I love how people always take on of a few examples and point out to that. You would think such bad arguments are above this forum. Also, that is not something that Elon or his companies would do so it doesn't really speak to my point.

What is so insane to me is how Java was the one that came out when Sun had so many other things going on. The Self language had all the tech, they had a full compiler team, a high performance implementation and could reasonably do everythin

Betting one friend on a small timing detail is fun and all, but that not really what people mean when people talk about 'not betting against Elon'. We are talking about big things. Elon said they will capture Apollo size booster d

Lets be honest here. If Tesla had invested the waste majority of their efforts on 1 city, not having to deal with all the problems of broken line markings, crazy signs, signs in different language, driving threw fog at night, driving mounta

It doesn't 'ring true' to me. Tesla might be far a way, but closer then the others. Specially when we are talking about 'as an actual business'. Waymo and co are simply having a gigantic money burning party and will

China actually supports these laws for their own reasons as well. If China made all drugs legal there would be nothing anybody could do to stop them selling or buying drugs.

The Soviets didn't actually round their scientists up and force them to work. That's basically just US propaganda version of Soviet system. Not to say that never happened, but its incredibly reductionist and inaccurate.

Do you have a good tutorial for all these processes? This is something I thought would be awesome for a while, but there are a lot of moving parts. I also thought all the hardware was not yet support to do all of this.

Grub is basically a second OS. People who say 'systemd is large and should just do one thing' and then say 'this can be solved with GRUB' blow my mind.

I was not very happy with the ownCloud product and this rewirte was very much needed. I seem like they were just adding feature but tons of it just didn't work well at all. I'm fine with less features, add them when they are ready

Wow, what nonsense. This is a very low volume car at best. This is not Tesla competition, VW is. There are already tons of EV companies and all the big automakers are already producing EV as well. Just in terms of pure electric vehicle you

Well, when you get in a plane, would you rather it be the first or the 100s? There is basically a curve from where its more risk in the early launches and then gets better, as it nears end of live, risk goes up again.
