My point is that with New Shepard they have an intention to be something commercial. As I said, I'm unsure about this market. The of course also have contract to sell BE-4 to ULA but they have not yet delivered a flight engine. However

I wouldn't say that is the case. So BlueOrigin is basically a self funded research shop. They built many experimental vehicles of increasing size. This end up with their suborbital New Shepard. This was to be their first commercial veh

Its direct competition to Rocket Labs, it really has little to do with Blue Origin. Blue Origin is interested in big rockets and sub orbital. SpaceX doesn't even play the same sport. Virgin Orbit has an interesting concept but they hav

The point here being that it was not bureaucracy or the government that trapped NASA in LEO. It was NASA own design process. Blaming everything always on the congress/president is a way for NASA to never take responsibility. All the su

Its actually much worse then that. These are not the 'cost' for F9/FH, that is the price. The cost of these launch is like 1/2 to 1/3. Part of the price is also amortizing past development cost. In the SLS launch no

Had NASA engineers actually build a better design for Space Shuttle, lots of budget would have been available to do more. The Space shuttle could have done much more much better things if it was designed differently.

Difference is SpaceX welded some tanks on a field. This program spend 20 billion over 10 years designing the whole system on paper with very little iterative testing. This not a prototype, this is the actual rocket that should fly. It has a

Its not as simple. The political transitions are part of it. However the politics of NASA are complicated. One of the major issues is simply that NASA for human-space flight could in the past not build on top of commercial rockets and NASA

You would need to remove the Solid Boosters first to make it worth it. If you do that hydrogen becomes a bad choice. So you should have built an RP-1 or Methane single booster without solids and then you could have done it.
