Thanks for posting that. I wonder if some people I've known who passed with kind of unknown cause dementia passed away had it. "Lewy body dementia" is a confusing term on its own, I was guessing that it meant some kind of bod

Reading that long article where the writer didn't have awareness that they should define that term reminds me of reading in grad school. Please define the main term in your articles, people! Geeze.

This is a separate site that doesn't have rocks from the famous UK stonehenge. The idea is it might be independently created, as a natural thing people might make to track things like the sun or other astronomical movements (like the m

Chromebooks are often a nice, relatively inexpensive and hackable x86 or arm device, but there's nothing that interesting about their hardware other than not so locked down (there's dev mode allowing anything and you can overwrite

And increasing the construction speed is the major thing we need to do here! Otherwise many of us working in seattle from outside will be retired or dead by the time it gets to us. I'm very eager to spend more of my own tax money to co

Terms of service that hurt the end user are a bad idea, unacceptable, like dark patterns that cause people to opt in to things they don't want. It's not a crime, but it's immoral.

This is a nice read if you ever were interested in wireless backhaul. He really goes 21km through line of sight, 3ms latency, 80u/70down (other side was family member's 1gbit). Sends his legal wireless signal across a tiny. border

I love reading about newly discovered works from the ancients. I'm really hoping some of the missing plays and history and math shows up here. There are also those burned red sea scrolls, I hope later tech can read them.

Today they update everything until the end of life. Google has made no announcement about extending life with only browser updates - that would be great but I'd be surprised. They could just use this change to make faster updates by se

Don't forget the very first settlers were native american people as we call them today in the us. It's interesting to think about their views of today's self-reliance culture. I don't know what they are.

That seems unfair. When I've been backpacking, there is not much info about anything like a sudden fire that could move randomly around you. That could easily kill you. Even with help there were 200+ people who were surrounded by fire

Use the us ascii 0-9 and a-z (caps equivalent). O and zero (0) are the same, as are numeral 1 and L and I. S matches a and 5. I like it.

That seems naive. Very few products succeed without marketing. Only tesla, for example, in autos succeeds without much marketing. I'd never have heard about remarkable2 without current marketing around the v2.

Then why does every company say that they have production limitations based on availability? VW was saying that just a few months ago, and so was porsche. That's give as the reason why Audi and Jaguar have low volumes.
