The Teams iOS app does audio hand-off really well in my experience. Have you tried that?

I'm glad to see these built-in to Postgres, as these are the basics of fuzzy string matching. A quantum leap would be to integrate an implementation of the symmetric delete algorithm, such as https://github.com/wolfgarb

HN is like 15% pro-Rust propaganda these days.

AdGuard has this ability. It will even install a certificate to your OS so it can parse and block TLS connections (but only if you explicitly instruct it to).

I agree. Your points about size and speed are valid. I think what made me defensive was the implication that these CLI libraries can be easily replaced with some small hand-coded solution. This particular library adds color coding, a struct

That is demonstrably untrue. Very few users care at all about the size of an app, and even fewer devs care to put in all the extra effort to use some unfamiliar tech stack just to save their ambivalent users' machines from using up som

I too have arrived at Spectre.Console as the best CLI argument handling library. Aside: I was testing the start-up time of my program last night and discovered that it is being delayed approx. 100ms by Spectre.Console. If any contributors a

I have had similar ideas. Where I ended up was working on Mario Kart 64 mods and figuring out how to enable online multiplayer. Only got some kart speed/accel/size mods working.

Very interesting. It makes a lot of sense. Do you have a read on how well using the LLVM interpreter modes fill this gap? EDIT: To be clear, I mean the gap of slow build performance in the feedback look of code-build-check.

Thanks, that's the answer to my question :) Do you know if there has been any plans to implement this build-time optimization upstream in LLVM itself? Perhaps after it's been completed within Zig.

I fully agree. I just meant that "liberal bullshit" is how conservatives view this kind of thing. In other words, they only see it as hypocritical.

Cool to see the general shift back to relational databases. Back at peak graph DB hype I felt like a crazy person reading all these comments about how amazing graph and key-value stores were.

This is an example of, as they say, "liberal bullshit". Knowing enough not to be ignorant, but behaving exactly as if they were.

The thing is... functional programming has its own version of a lot of these problems, as well as its own problems. The easiest example is the base class fragility problem. This is just a special case of the compounding fragility of any reu

The thing I always think about Joe Rogan and his podcast is that there will always be a huge audience for a talkative meathead, but Joe is about the best possible version of a popular meathead we could ask for.

I understand "high density" to mean condo neighbourhoods. I understand medium density to mean mid-rise, walk-ups, or town houses. The situation in Toronto is (and has been for some time) a stark contrast between low-density neighb

Good. Toronto doesn't need condo neighbourhoods with gimmicky smart-phone integrations. It needs re-zoning of low density neighbourhoods to allow medium density to be built, thus more uniformly distributing the large and growing popula

The article does not talk about the possibility of an ultralight frozen cloud. It only mentions one kind of "solar sail" structure.

The explanation I've seen is that Oumuamua is made of a "frozen cloud" and has lower mass than that used in the expected trajectory model, and was possibly pushed by solar wind into that observed trajectory.

I definitely believe you and I think plenty of good devs have just a boot camp education, but I've also had a conversation with someone who came out of a dev boot camp and was very upset that they weren't treated like any other de
