The article mentions attacks from clients sending slow requests, but what about clients reading the response very slowly? And coming back to the topic of slow requests, what if an attacker tries a slow POST request, sending the first part o

I know about this, and about Postmark great deliverability, but the greylisting some companies use is naive and doesn't care about reputation: if you are a new sender, you to have wait 5 minutes and retry, whoever is sending (Postmark

We use Mailgun which delivers quite fast, but we noticed that some customers, especially the big companies with an IT department running its own email server, tend to have some form of greylisting: if it is the first time they receive an em

Did you have issues with delayed email delivery (the user wants to login but the email is delayed because of some grey listing or some network glitch)?

The FastMail mobile app is an example of an "hybrid" app working correctly: it's a native app wrapping the web app using a WebView. The native part takes care of things like notifications. The web part part takes care of the

I agree, but how do you trigger the "save password" dialog of the browser built-in password manager, when using a generated random password? Edit: Answering to myself, maybe by generating the random password client-side, with Java

I've started to use FastMail, which is great. The thing I miss is the automatic triaging of emails provided by GMail (personal, promos, forums, updates, social). FastMail provides something similar, but with a lot of false positives, a

5.6 hours per weekday! That seems too much to be true. If we work 8 hours, we're left with 2.4 hours to do something else than checking emails.

Right, there isn't really a "standard". There are so much existing solutions: Kubernetes, Docker swarm mode, Nomad, Spinnaker, etc. What I meant by "standard" is something used by more than one team :-) Agreed by Do

Ok, this is basically what I do with an Ansible script, but I see it as a bit messy and non-standard, which is why I'm attracted to Docker swarm mode and Kubernetes (and maybe Nomad).

Out of curiosity, how do you deploy new versions of your without downtime (start new containers, wait for new containers to be ready, switch traffic to new containers, shutdown old containers)?

True, but Go and Erlang don't occupy the same niche. Go is imperative, while Erlang is mostly functional. Go is AOT (ahead-of-time) compiled, while Erlang runs on a VM. Go is statically typed, while Erlang is dynamically typed (I know

When creating to disable the cluster, have you tried to disable Kubernetes dashboard and StackDriver monitoring and logging services? For logging, you could use FluentBit which is more lightweight: https://docs.fluentbit.io/
