I'm actually in the market for a leather jacket and boots right now, but I certainly haven't noticed prices going down at all. I'm finding leather jackets extremely difficult to shop for. Online advice is all over the place,

What an amazing story of human cooperation. One on hand, everyone wants to make boatloads of money, on the other hand, sometimes we realize that if we all pitch in to a shared resource, we can make something better and cheaper than otherwis

I'm also tired of how easy it is to abuse these regulations. I own rental properties that don't allow pets. A surprising number of tenants will get a pet anyways, then when they are caught, a week later they've got some paper

I start a new job next week and am planning on a new strategy with my devices. I'm going to leave my laptop in the office and use my personal computer more often, and I'm not going to add any of my work accounts onto my phone.

I considered doing something like this when I entered college. My parents make enough money that I didn't qualify for any aid at all, but they also wouldn't give me a penny under any circumstance. One of my dads favorite sayings w

So rent control is cheating? Let's keep prices low without allowing supply to grow to meet demand by zoning for larger buildings and cheaper dwellings.

Exactly. When a company hires me, they understand that they're going to have to pay me while I get up to speed and master all the responsibilities of the job. Why should promotions be any different? Are they back-paying these people af

This is only recently. The Antitrust Paradox shifted this thinking after being published in 1978, and now it's considered by many in power to be the bible of antitrust enforcement. There's no reason that can't shift though.

I'm happy that antitrust is being explored. I do think free markets need to be protected, and the last few decades attitude of "if it's good for consumers it's legal" is short sighted. Something can be good for cons

Yes, but cars are more of a necessity here than in Europe. No matter how poor you are, a 20 minute drive can still take over 2 hours by bus in some areas, and that's nearly impossible to work with.
