You'll never heard about it in North America, but the most gorgeous laptop right now IMO is the Panasonic CF-MX3: http://panasonic.jp/pc/products/mx3s/ It's tragically expensive to import, though.

It's just nonsense that this metadata would be dropped as files scattered across the filesystem, rather than simply held in a single location on the host machine. They're a fragment of the OS, not of each directory.

A few things stick out: 1. Form factor - it's a big square. That sounds dumb but there are specific reasons why it's fantastic. Unlike an oblong rectangle, it fits very well in a pocket; doesn't wobble around. Holding it f

There is a lot of nonsense in this piece, and a lot of nonsense out of Blackberry. But the one thing you can't criticize them for is "lack of innovation over the past few years". I have a Blackberry Passport and it is very i

I wasn't suggesting to ban any of those things, so I don't see how that's relevant aside from careless strawmanning. If a large majority of a society wants to ban something, it can, and often that's a reasonable thing t

Server-side log-analysis solutions are not possible to block. I assume that piwik is running client-side javascript? Then it's in the interest of the client to block it; it's not a server-side solution anymore. Of course with se

Google's spying hurts your users. To manage your webserver, use your server logs. If you really think you need more information than those convey, you could get some self-hosted javascript to assist with that. You need nothing else.
