I built a Mandrill clone based on SES, Google AppEngine, Phoenix/Elixir. I moved everything there and it works pretty well, planning to open source it at some point.

Unfortunately this is standard MailChimp way of doing things ever since they screwed over paying customers and merged with Mandrill [1]. They are the opposite of a transparent organization - they are the GoDaddy of this business. (I was sup

Everybody makes mistakes, and that's fine. The issue itself can be forgiven for a technical design flaw. BUT, what is NOT fine is trying to censor customers who have paid a lot of money for these products, trying to voice their concern

Is it still called stock manipulation if the bug is critical and for real and the company deserves to lose shareholder value simply for the critical nature of the bug? Imagine how many people are vulnerable out there - I'm already star

The genuineness of the Twitter account is absolutely irrelevant in contrast to the validity of the bug itself. Apple was reported a high priority bug at a specific time. Who reported it, how they look like, what their Twitter profile looks

This is a dark pattern usually dying companies like to follow. Why? Because, if you are confident of the value you provide to your customer, you don't need to be so aggressive about not letting them go. Yes, retention is an important K

There is one more aspect of fraud the journalist has missed - chargeback fraud. Chargeback fraud is where companies try to lengthen the timeline of resolution of a fraudulent incident such as this one so that it exceeds your bank's off

Machine learning is literally a numbers game. The bigger and higher quality your data set, the better your models. So, it's contradictory that a company like Apple assuming they've taken a "privacy first" stance, can als

I don't think Apple has advancements in machine learning tech as much as its competitors. For example, take a look at how primitive Siri is. It struggles a lot in comparison to its competitors even for some basic commands. Or, take a l

Sorry for the lack of clarity, I have since edited my post. They asked me for 1/3rd of my price - Not going down by 1/3rd, but rather 1/3rd of my quoted salary. So, if it was 100k, he was asking me for 33k.

There's an interesting downside about remote work that most articles don't talk about. Pay. The brutal fact is most companies simply re-brand outsourcing as "Remote" employees. Case in point, a few years ago, a DIY websi

The iPhone XR is failing because of Apple's arrogance. They shoved in a 720p display into a smartphone in 2018. They even dismissed concerns about it[1]. The other reason is there are too many models in their lineup in a desperate atte
