This is the dumbest thing I've read on HN today. "We do nothing..because we can." This speaks volumes about your attitude towards security as a business. If I was your enterprise client I wouldn't really be happy reading

There were some "hype cycles" (in Gartner's lingo) that I avoided during my career. The first one was the MongoDB/NoSQL hype - "Let's use NoSQL for everything!" trend. I tried it in a medium sized project

I actually never understood the appeal of Kubernetes in the first place. I have production apps running on bare bones VMs serving millions of customers. Is this sort of complexity really necessary? At this point I would just consider server

I used to work as a Google Cloud consultant in my past life. I had to frequently visit Google’s offices and talk to engineers there to advise on our clients for project specific requirements. Once we had a large news publication client who

Thankfully, finally some faith in the patent system. This was an asshole move to harass others from using the word GPT in their trade. Kind of like how Instagram did it with the word "gram".

Last month I upgraded from an M1 Pro to an M3 Pro - 16GB RAM, 512 GB. Here is an honest review of my experience. The chassis of both the machines are exactly the same. The bad thing about that is the newer MacBooks come with a matte finish

This is how a company whose failing business model collapsing fast would act. I never liked Stock photo sites since their inception - they always followed dark patterns, spammed the entire search results with keywords that had nothing to do
