Probably because it disproves the headline, given that all of these people getting kicked off of SFW sites have a popular sanctuary where they can continue making money doing the things they want. A true monopoly has no sanctuaries.

It makes sense that video chat would be complicated though. Skype came out, what, 2003? And it didn't start becoming popular until years later. FaceTime came out 2010. I would bet the vast majority of people had their very first video

To add on to this, DNS is meant to be a simple protocol. The problems we encounter with it today are usually due to the thousands of little patches added on through the decades to tack functionality onto what is essentially supposed to be a

It logically makes sense for Windows to move to ARM as well at this point. They already ported it with Windows RT, and now all they have to do is provide a translation layer like Rosetta and release the full Windows experience (instead of t

Apple isn't harnessing magic here. The opportunity for competition exists, but everyone else is just sitting on their asses while Apple's chip team puts in the work. If you want to beat Mx, you have to think outside the box, just

Not OP but my layman's understanding is that it would just be two GUI windows communicating over standard IPC. The current trend is for the entire application to be represented as a singular window, using navigation or tab controllers

+1 for the term "graphical IPC." It is a huge pet peeve of mine that native apps choose to push new views onto navigation controllers instead of just opening a new window. They're looking to invent browsing history when there

This is why the JavaScript people said screw the whole thing and worked on porting web-esque development to mobile rather than trying to learn how to develop native apps. The difference in developer velocity is obscene. The only close nativ

Pricing is actually surprisingly cheap. I would have thought for sure one license would cost thousands, but it's only around $600. Out of the range of the average hobbyist obviously, but easily acquirable by any small business.

It is blocked on iOS but it's not the app's choice, it has to do with the video player utilizing DRM decoding hardware (Widevine-esque). That's why screenshots can be blocked on Netflix but not on Snapchat.
