For example: any publicly traded shares. I have had shares that are 1. force sold, 2. shares that were force split into two companies and 3. shares that are force acquired so they become another companies shares.

Not convinced. Are CPUs and GPUs killing it %/$ wise each year like it's 1996? Models are killing it but that is just an "ollama run" command away.

Yeah recognising some words and having a hand crafted decision tree over an LLM can go a long way to get useful shit done. Setting a timer, calling someone, turning on a light. But is local CPU Speech to Text really a dead end?

Headline number trend is what matters. Yeah lots of failed projects but then lots of new projects to make up for it!

It'll be a pick one problem (secrecy, control) until say the big browsers support .bit domains directly doing a lookup on the block chain.

If everyone gets it, no one is lucky. It becomes the new normal. It could make the world a lot worse in many ways.

Semantics are gonna get you. Especially if they use idiomatic stuff like (!x && x == y) and rely on JS type coercion. In this sense an LLM or hand crafted approach may win out. Also API will likely be different.

Because LLMs are dog shit. There I said it. LLMs are not the threat right now. Mismanagement of the United States and a 2008 style recession (but without the TOGA power of the SaaS/cloud boom. AI is swimming naked financially) are the

Curious too. It feels like the maths parts of programming are the hobby (proof checkers, Haskell) and the cranking out Go/JS etc is the paid bit. I studied maths but never used more than high school level at work.

We are still doing scrum-like stuff after all. And they are dragging people back to the office. Decision makers have billions at their disposal to be inefficient with.

A good signal is you get pissed off with LLMs because they hinder your job. Even if you tried in earnest to use them.

Noice! UX suggestion. You don't need the "as read only" save options if when you do a normal save the page tells you if it has been changed. That'll get you down to 2 menu options and make me think less.

I think it is something they have to experience. Tell them if they are happy with it, give me a $10 bug bounty. Then go hack a deploy of their branch. Then tell em to keep the $10 but remember the lesson.
