I can't believe this. I hope it's real, because then it would be clear that Google is very close to being able to market their autonomous car technology. I imagine a move like putting their autonomous car in a NASCAR race is part of a larg

The article buries that caveat about how many players of Draw Something also play Words with Friends, etc. I would guess it's a significant amount. I play both games, and many of the friends I play with are playing both too. So, inaccurat

Some of these claims about the danger of Groupon refunds are exaggerated. For many deals, Groupon simply does not grant refunds, so customers need to be sure they can use the deals they buy. But, I still think that Groupon will fail, maybe

That's a good point. I think the surface you are describing (that the wind would sweep out) would be a torus. The 2-torus is "combable."

I love DuckDuckGo. My only real complaint is when their search falls back on Google (for maps, and things like that). It would be great if DDG were able to start providing their own alternative image/map searches. I would probably switch

I don't want to be a killjoy but this seems like a wasteful novelty. Are the tweets at least printed on recycled paper?

Either this is a hoax or the unrealistic claim of a sad group of hackers. Regardless, it's still interesting to imagine what it would be like if the internet really were inaccessible to a large number of people. Even light Internet users

One thing that Google knows: other accounts you have with non-Google services. For example, when you setup your G+ profile, they offer to link a Twitter account that they suspect is yours.

I think you are right, and when they frame this new service as "turning your existing Xbox into a set top box", it sounds benign and rational. But I'm afraid of the dangerous precedent that this sets. TV-style subscription-based services w

I wouldn't be surprised if Google did finally release the GDrive. This would follow the company's current trend of cloning successful businesses far after a competitor has established market dominance. Google+ is actually rather well buil

Being able to see your friend's brush strokes as they draw is very cool. It is fun to watch people draw because it is interesting insight into how people think. Also, clues can be given through "actions" this way, e.g. the word "wind" can

Making Megaupload pay this $9000/day seems unfair, too. The US government has cut off all of Megaupload's revenue streams, and so they would be forcing Megaupload to keep paying for a service that they can no longer make money from. Regard
