The WSJ article makes me feel better about strongly urging a family member against an investment in a hemp farm in 2018. They used an unrealistic value for the price of CBD in their projections and didn't account for a decrease in the price over the next few years. But besides that, it was one of the worst business plans I'd ever seen. I couldn't tell if they were just inept, or were scam artists looking for gullible investors.
