But the number of people living in a non-nuclear apocalypse world will be much higher than the number of people living in a nuclear apocalypse world (assuming the probability of a nuclear apocalypse is less than like 90% or something). Your

45 is definitely not extremely young to be a professor. Not in the US, where you start as assistant professor. I know plenty of PhD's who graduate and start in a university as assistant professors, age range starting at around 26. My a

This is also due to Obama era scholarships/money provided to refugee students aren't done by the Trump administration anymore. The universities were indirectly subsidized by the US government and aren't done so anymore.

Gnome is not that great. You can't even put the panel on the bottom of the screen. Which is just incredibly basic configurability and even that is unavailable. Desktop Linux on the whole is kind of annoying because on each new install,

So true. Just last week I thought I would start to use python 3 because I was starting on a new project and had a new computer. I installed anaconda python 3 only to have it crash when starting jupyter because the new python 3 version doesn

I like to think of it as a feedback loop stabilizing. I think it's the model used in Harry Potter. We won't be able to observe what happens during the stabilization. Paradoxes become impossoble then.

Of course PhD students take classes. Most universities make you do 36 credit hours before you can pass your qualification exams. They just don't have courses on specialized topics but there are plenty of relevant graduate level courses

As it's used almost everywhere in coding circles, regression means a patch that made things worse than it was before. No implication of the worse state being there before.

It doesn't matter if I can afford it... I can afford to spend $500 too. Doesn't mean I'm going to spend it on just anything. Making a meme on a website is barely worth the time I spend doing it. The $10 seems reasonable if I

I am sure there has been lots of theoretical justification in favor of the uniform prior in Bayesian statistics, especially for bounded intervals. I am not a stats guy though, so I can't show you the justifications in detail. The whole

You are misapplying probabilities here. If you assume no knowledge, and you have two options for X, true or false, then it's a 50% probability of X being true. Similarly, if there are N possibilities for X, and no prior knowledge for X

No...undergrad = bachelors. But graduate means both master's and phd. No one says graduate to mean solely master's. And post-graduate might be a vague term (no one uses it) but generally it means the same as just graduate.

Well if you define a new type, and * and + operations for it, you will get matrix multiplication for free in native julia. I think you can do similar things for a few other algorithms in native julia. I don't think it will be MKL speed
