I perceive your tone as purely hostile and frankly pretty ignorant, so maybe don’t talk about tone. Aside from that, hating a form of mobility is weird. People that are assholes in cars will be assholes on bikes and vice versa.

To me the most interesting aspect is that all of the alien discussions and reports spiked after we invented nuclear weapons. At the same time that’s also when we got mass media, developed our own funky airplanes and got portable cameras etc

It was a machine pilot keeping a pet plant in its ship. Only half kidding, if we meet aliens they will be machines at least to some extent. Biological life has a lot of annoying limitations and continuously circumventing them is more expens

If you believe Grusch, then yes, because governments around the world are racing to recover UAPs. I don’t really believe it but it would be in line with the story.

I don‘t like hyperbole and excuse my language but I firmly believe that we are utterly fucked. The high amount of wildfires in the Mediterranean right now and other things happening this month are just the beginning. Some very bad things wi

Your comment is wrong and malicious and looking at the data proves you wrong. Using lignite only slowed the reduction of coal, nuclear was almost completely replaced by renewables. https://www.energy-charts.info/charts/

This is a misinterpretation of what happened and this comment is just weird. Coal has been added after nuclear was stopped but what you said is not happening at all. Look at the actual data instead of random Internet comments and populist a

Why do you need to put "productivity benefits" in quotes? I hope I am misinterpreting this. It's been shown scientifically time and time again with actual data that this is the case [1, World Economic Forum] - denying this or

In my view, yes, nihilism sucks. But making the point that evolution means change is fair. Trying to keep everything as-is forever is fundamentally unnatural and impossible and I don't think that is what conservation should be about.

That's to the point. There is also less and less reason to upgrade quickly nowadays. My phone is a 12 Pro and I see less than zero need to upgrade. For example, 120Hz display is super nice but downgrading from it is far more jarring
