There was a period of time when I thought PDF’s days were numbered. That was over a decade ago. There is now first class support in many applications. I don’t think it’s going anywhere.

I feel like the term intermittent fasting is used by many folks to mean different things. It would be nice if there were more precise terminology here so we could communicate more clearly.

I don’t understand how folks are still putting up with Google. The only thing I need a replacement for is YouTube, that’s where the content is.

Very thoughtful analysis. But, perhaps the purpose was not to solve, perhaps it was to self-distinguish.

Another pearl is the Sheldon Brown bicycle repair site: https://www.sheldonbrown.com , the content is so good people maintain it even though he passed away. If you ever want to take a peek at the “man behind curtain” read http:

Came here to say this. I was sorta shocked at the hubris in the title, then I read the article and was disappointed by the rife subjectivity. The Joel test is not “feels outdated” and there was no evidence presented to support the claim.

That is not true. It is a metaphor for generic work.

I clarified which statement I wanted a source for. It was a surprising claim. I had not heard about contaminated food.

This is why they make so much money. Flat rate hosting is the only way I’ll go. They bank on smaller bills and hope not everyone calls.

Ah thanks. I’d add my impression was that the mechanical reliability and price were the key factors. It would also be important for us to agree on what truly is minor cosmetics versus total negligence or awful design and material quality.

These seem like legitimate but insignificant issues. As long as it is functionally sound, I don't think minor cosmetic issues will materially impact public opinion. The general public is unaware of body panel alignment as a concept.

I’d be a bit more precise. The blog is hosted by cloudflare. IPFS hosts all the versions of the blog, none of which are canonical.
