1) Open source projects like this would tend to want as many possible contributors as possible. There's more people out there who are comfortable with plain JS than with CoffeeScript. 2) One may prefer a more explicit language, filled with

But can you imagine this world? Where you are sending your transcripts to the bank, proving to them that not only will you finish college, but be able to get a job afterwards. And every month in college having to send your grades to them so

Mashape looks pretty cool. Another good one I found recently is http://www.apihub.com/ (not affiliated) Great time to be a developer

Feel sorry for this dude. A lifetime collecting, imagine all the time organizing and buying these things, and the cost. Unless this goes for a lot over the initial asking price, he's sort of getting a raw deal. Sad to see a life wasted like

MongoDB is pretty popular here. There's just a vocal group of old school RDBMS lovers who like to hate on everything that isn't PostgreSQL.

It's now the underdog. Who doesn't want to root for the underdog? With Palm Pre out of the equation now, Microsoft continuing to be a piece of crap, I'm rooting for RIM to be the solid 3rd choice.

If it wasn't a suicide, I really hope someone clarifies the situation. It would be a pretty terrible thing (even more so) if everyone started to assume it was self inflicted when it wasn't. On the other hand, if it's actually what happened,

Apple seems to forget people still have to develop all those iOS apps. Their mac lineup has been horrendously badly suited for devs. I feel like the Mac Pro and MacBook Pro 17 are regrettable casualties to their disinterest in the market.

Worst run transportation system in the country. But on the good side, it's what has enabled Uber and Sidecar to thrive. In SF, even the disfunction is startup friendly.

I appreciate the info. But I still can't seem to fathom why you can / would want to upgrade to IE9 if it were available. Or how MS is trying to spur OS sales by restricting a still terrible browser when 2 superior ones exist and are availab

But it solves "the big problem". In a nearly perfect way. As soon as I install Chrome frame, I can now use all my old legacy custom web apps that were built by my trusty 2005 ASP3 dev team (half of whom unfortunately have died of lung cance

Sorry, that's crazy talk. If IE9 were available for XP, these business wouldn't use it for the same reason they aren't upgrading to Google Chrome (even though its free and available).

CNET has historically had issues with this (even before they were bought by CBS). Jeff Gerstmann being fired for a bad review is a good example, which caused nearly half of the top editors at Gamespot to quit. http://kotaku.com/376217/the

Looking forward to another 4 more years of this "hope and change". For the record DOJ is directly under the President's control. You can't blame Republicans for this one. If we can't trust Obama to take rational positions on such clear cut

Sounds like this solution is not for you. That's ok, even if it were free, you'd probably still want to build your own (if you even have a need to host a job board).

If I got poop on my arm, I wouldn't use toilet water to wash it off. This to me is the #1 reason I don't want bidets and would never use it. Pretty much the most repellent idea to me is the concept of the toilet spraying me back. How's this

Sure, Apple is trying to maximize profit. But how does that help me? We're developers right? We need to find the market with the most potential. If I'm developing for a platform where the platform holder is laser focused on maximizing their

It's sick and it's twisted. The ones who should be in jail are the ones running the labels and movie studios. They're playing with fire with their reaction to the pirate bay. Soon they'll be the ones locked up.

Agreed, is it possible to implement this as a hack ontop of the chrome's own dev tools? That all just implemented in html/css/js. Maybe you could override that. Sounds super hard to me, but what you built looks super hard too :)
