It still seems wild that Apple was even working on it, similar to the rumors that they were working on an actual TV. I have to imagine that there was some shared tech with other products that helped make it make sense for so long. Maybe som

So I know a lot of the tech (non gaming) layoffs were correcting the over-hiring during covid. However I did not think gaming did the same thing. Especially given the long development timelines for games now it wouldn't have made as mu

I don't think that is what they announced, it did not reach their sales targets but they may have been expecting people to "upgrade" to the slim PS5 in those sales targets. It could still be selling well by every metric excep

I really wish we had more concrete information on what caused this. Is this a downturn in gaming and revenue and actually needing to do this to stay afloat or just the company seeing lower than expected sales but still profitable. I know th

For sure an interesting find, but was kinda hoping based on the title that there was a more straightforward way to do this. I really wish that AWS had a simple way from an admin account to ask "where is X resource" within an organ

Right. Even if we want to say that it could take a one time deployment and it can just sit there forever (which, it can't. it needs security updates and similar). The server itself isn't free. Sure if they are smart if multiple pe

While I get where you are going with open source project being the default choice, I don't think it fits the example here. Feedly, like Google Reader, for me is nothing but a server. It's the same reason I pay for my email, iCloud

Feedly is free depending on how many feeds you need. But that is likely part of why reader shut down. Depending on how often it's pulling and how often you are reading, that isn't free to run. Especially if you don't even use

Feedly seems like a company that is trying anything that will stick to get people to subscribe without getting rid of their free offering. Their free plan is likely enough for most people. I know for me none of those features matter. Especi

It is honestly quite concerning just how good these videos look. Like you can see some weird artifacts, but take one of these videos, compress it down to a much lower quality and with the loss of quality you might not be able to tell the di

I have been wondering for a long time about why the App Store is so puritanical, does the App Store have any sort of age ratings? As in anything enforced. Like Death Stranding is out now and it's 17+ but is there any check? Does Apple
