That is great! It's definitely one of the most clever and unique uses I've seen of Fireworks. Hopefully, someone from Adobe is reading so they can recommend it as an article on the Fireworks Developer Center ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/f

Coming from server-side MVC dev, the line "Views: The meat of our business logic occurs here." was surprising. I thought the point of MVC was to decouple the logic from the views. PS: I'm about to start reading the new Javascript Web Appli

I recall making many plans (5-year, 10-year, 15-year) when I first graduated. It's funny looking back at some of my original plans to see how things varied so much. The key is to stay flexible, always be willing to learn and set your prior

Keep in mind that this is company behind the elaborate "Angry Nerds" April Fool's game ( http://www.atlassian.com/en/angrynerds ). It does provide some excellent PR and a testing ground for new technologies.

I'm glad the study excluded interactive educational games, which I think can be very beneficial when used in moderation along with reading and creative play.

Inline, instant validation would make this very useful as a compliment to full server-side validation. I agree that client-side validation can significantly improve the ux for forms.

Anything that makes it easier for faculty to communicate with students is a win-win. Bb is a difficult system to use on multiple fronts - for the student, instructor and administrators. It's also a very compelling add-on to schools that w

At YCNYC the AirBNB presentation showed the startup curve and dreaded "Trough of Sorrow" ( http://adam.heroku.com/past/2008/4/23/the_startup_curve/ ). It's definitely hard to overcome.

Very nice. Have you considered grouping the related locations instead of listing all the locations? For example, group "Greater NYC Area", "NYC", "New York, NY" under one section with a consistent name. Over time you could locally map th

That sounds great! Can't wait to get started. I've been dreading building out the recurring payments portion of our website, but reading about Stripe is easing the stress. The docs and are excellent and the approach is very sensible.

Stripe looks great and is definitely at the top of my list. Does anyone know what name shows up on the customers statement? Is it customizable to something that includes your company name (e.g. Stripe your_name_here)?

It's a shame that few people mention the book that seemed to inspire this genre: "Harold and the Purple Crayon" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_and_the_Purple_Crayon ) -- originally published in 1955. It's still a classic in my mind.
