This reminds me slightly of the scene in the movie "Office Space" when the consultants were interviewing one of the employees and he was discussing "People Skills".

Did anyone ever use Norton Commander back in the DOS days ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_Commander ). It was very well-designed and powerful, text-based, GUI for DOS. The only problem was that once you get used

Congratulations to Atlassian. We've been using a locally-hosted Confluence instance for over 3 years in a higher education setting and it's been a great experience. The more I use Confluence, the more I see it's true value

Very inspiring! Did you compile a list of the resources you used while learning each of the languages/libraries or was it pretty random?

It would be nice to see Lua embedded as an option within browsers, since it's such a small language and already designed to be embedded.

I use InkScape on the Mac. To get the most recent builds running, you need install XQuartz which is not bundled with recent OS X versions.

Very exciting. This is a great way to get people playing your game without worrying about plugins. It will be interesting to compare the weight of a basic 2D game using Unity 4.3 2D engine to one written in a HTML5 framework such as Impac

Sometimes I long for the simplicity of the 1x1 transparent gif. Combined with tables for layout, it really brought the notion of "design" to the web and helped transform the web to mass medium.
