Sometimes I find myself fighting the framework and someone inevitably shows me the best practice and I see how it would have just worked had I done more reading. Good luck out there.

Your thoughts on webpack/babel/grunt/gulp well echo my sentiment towards seasoned programmers. I've only been at this for around 15+ years right now. I agree I am starting to see repeated problems solved in new JS langua

I'll agree that SPAs are a bit of a departure for folks who have been building legacy ASP.NET or JSP / Java Request / Response apps. There are some new things they must learn, so they may have a higher learning curve. Additio

Not trying to defend inexperienced programmers but I've seen plenty of 20+ year senior programmers contribute poorly to SPAs. They refuse to learn the best practices / new patterns because "they have 20+ years experience"

Yeah exactly - comcast will let you speedtest at that speed, but do you get that speed off Netflix? These guys are just a small business trying to deliver a high quality network.

I forgot to mention, these guys don't just optimize their speed test to show high results. They are getting real unthrottled results from their users who have had similar speeds from Spectrum / Timewarner / Optimum. I think t

I think when they got started they had a very low subscriber base and were very competitive. I'll admit though I was paying $100/month for 300/15 in Bushwick before I moved. It's probably hard to remain competitive.

This is really good to hear, as it seems like a very viable business in a small town like the one I have moved to. We have a high population density in the downtown area and folks favor local over corporate offerings around here. Keep up th

I just moved to a new town and was thinking it would be great to do something like this. I was inspired by the guys I posted in the earlier article. Curious about startup costs/financing.

This reminds me of these guys out in Brooklyn building out a sick fiber network. http://bkfiber.com/ They have some of the fastest speeds in NYC and they had uptime surpassing numerous big names like Spectrum and Optimum a

Yeah I agree, if we could kill off demand we'd be fine. As I jokingly stated though, drugs sell themselves. Education doesn't work either - look at the D.A.R.E. program.

Dude, seriously that seems like a terrible idea. We already have an issue with legitimate drugs. Additionally the original argument was that cartels will seek out whatever means they can to make money. It'll just shift their efforts to

I agree with the fact that the Mexican state needs strength to deal with this. I think I just heard on NPR this morning that more poppies are being grown in Mexico as of late due to perfect climate. I also read the farmers get nearly nothin

I think it just happens when younger folks do the interviewing, they don't know how to interview so they grasp for what they know. Just seems that every big firm does it. Recently I had a take-home assignment - spend like a week at nig
