Their site lists a time in days, but not the actual battery specs that I can see. 30 days for the Time 2 will be pretty impressive if they can pull it off, though.

I don't understand why more companies don't do contextual ads, yeah. Why track users all around the web when you can go to a website about cars and put in car ads, or a website about music and sell concert tickets or etc? You alre

does Google AdWords still exist? text only ads solves a lot of these issues

I've seen a few people use ai to rewrite things, and the change from their writing style to a more "polished" generic LLM style feels very strange. A great averaging and evening out of future writing seems like a bad outcome

I feel like people underrate make work a bit. If you look around at our infrastructure in the us, the number of roads and bridges with flaws, decaying buildings, the lack of housing in areas... It's clear there's some things out t

Determining which PRs you should accept or take further seems like it requires some level of review? Maybe more like PR triage, I suppose.

Right now we allocate capital to those kinds of companies. We're on a page for that and all. If you allocated capital to other stuff, the jobs go there with it?

Do they have to be unemployed during the grant period? They could still find commissions and other stuff during that time or sell their art. And I guess for an artist either way you have a lot of new portfolio entries?

Isn't the whole idea of prediction markets to let insiders bet on things so that you'll get insider info leaked?

That Fiverr one seems especially cold somehow. I guess it lines up with their business model though.

People are pretty skeptical that discord will actually delete it (because they had a data breach showing a lot of undeleted face scans and id pictures already) or that their partner organization who does the validation won't just save

If you have to create a new password / answer an authentication check for every server you join that's a ton more friction than discord already.

Most users only need 20 percent or so of your features, but among a large enough group of users they all want a different 20 percent so it kinda adds up. Or so the old saying goes. I think this will be a pretty similar case because discord

I don't think it's that big of an if anymore - there's worldwide pressure and interest groups to get some kind of age check on all these companies, at least. Keep some alternate contacts for friends at least

This is the real issue, and it's why just cancelling your discord subs and moving to stoat or etc isn't a solid long-term strategy. If KOSA passes in the us basically every platform will have to do something like this.

I think those kind of texts (school papers, marketing fluff, linkedin influencers trying to look smart) just influenced the dataset a lot. Too bad we didn't have more laconic, interesting books to feed in?

Skills are just more input to a language model, right? That seems bad, but if you're also having your bot read unsanitized stuff like emails or websites I think there's a much larger problem with the security model

The thing about social security is that it was supposed to be used for a fairly narrow system, and the physical cards even have text like "not to be used as identification" on them. And then we used it for that anyway

I expect to some degree the Chinese models don't need immediate profits, because having them as a show of capability for the state is already a goal met? They're probably getting some support from the state at least.
