Is that a ios browser difference? I browse hn all the time on my android phone and I didn't think my screen was unusually big. Maybe they implement some different scaling?

Not addictive, but calculators can prevent you from learning Math from the foundations, so we keep them away from students until later courses. Pretty easy comparison to AI? Only allow people who have passed some milestone without using it

You're not going to get non technical coworkers like the finance department entering their data or reports in pandas. So it depends on how much labor you want to put in helping them do it, I guess?

If I recall correctly opinion polling on the original Apollo program wasn't universally positive either. Space missions don't impress people who want money spent on the ground, it etc

And the logical extension would be don't go hiking with anyone who might split the party or strand you, I suppose.

This makes sense to me, but isn't there a risk of increasing the potential payoff high enough that someone is motivated to go out and make the yes side happen? Consider this bot running on us military outcomes or something.

My assumption is that it's just easy to add and widen the audience to a random shoot? You put in a few lines of dialogue at the start and change the title, and it's not seen as so taboo that viewers will turn it off from that. But

https://www.consumerreports.org/data-centers/ai-data-centers... It seems like that has pretty substantial time lag. Maybe require the ai companies to build power plants before they're allowed to build data centers

Taking up land is one of the resources they use - consider cutting down trees to clear space for a large one, or the habitats that might have been in that space. That's not really an aesthetic thing.

Is the law obligated to be logical like that? As you note it already doesn't have to be consistent over time, there's no particular reason it must be consistent in who it applies to. You shouldn't pin your ideals on anything

They could probably offer enough tokens for that but it would be at a higher price than the sub, I think. You could still pay fewer salaries at 3k a year or per token enterprise prices or whatever.

Prisoner exchanges are a pretty strong motivator for any group, even hardline ones. If the Taliban was up for exchanges I think the IRGC is pretty likely to want to keep prisoners for that too.

The in person businesses selling them don't do much more thorough consultations in my experience, although at least they try to track your muscle mass and be sure you're not losing too much there. The whole business model probably

Do you have a good suggestion for how to get the next superpower to agree to that kind of thing? I think the most likely outcome is that their allies will be allowed to do genocides where they want, and boycotts and blockades will only work

who doesn't allow genocide nowadays, exactly? or rather who intervenes to stop it? they don't seem to be very quick.

This actually shows pretty good coverage for this feature, it seems to me. The big American isps do it, the mobile ones do too... How many major isps would we want to implement it to be "safe" and what would that look like? Is thi

Phones usually contain the hardware for radio too, so making sure agents have some set of models for that doesn't sound bad. Even if you had to use a dedicated one having a radio at home isn't that conspicuous? Or in a car, etc

Users who want to be private and are willing to pay extra for it are necessarily highly valuable for data brokers and advertisers. So incentives always push towards betraying them eventually I think.

As far as I can tell Disney didn't actually hand over the money yet. They were still in preparation and it's cancelled now obviously. So whatever reason they say to shut this down, it was more important than 1B investment.

I'm generally against long term punishments for crimes like this, but operating a dangerous machine like a car is a serious matter. A breathalyzer is a reasonable compromise compared to just taking away your license, right?
