Some of these are seriously addicting, and it's no surprise that many of them have been shamelessly copied and sold as smartphone apps. Galaxies is probably my favorite.

Clearly the solution is to employ a GAN, so that we simultaneously get artificial voices that are indistinguishable to the human ear, as well as judges that are able to reliably distinguish them.

Why is Protect a non-blocking call? That means that after I call Protect on some data, it's not actually protected yet.

You could evade the runtime relocation by copying the data into a new buffer allocated by mmap.

What an odd coincidence: I just published a Go package yesterday to detect such attacks in source code. Is there a homography bug going around? https://github.com/NebulousLabs/glyphcheck (btw, Wikipedia notes that &quo

Your analysis is much better than my gross simplification. What I meant is that in both situations, the solution is acceptance, not escapism (masquerading as transcendence). I agree with Camus' conclusion that we must create our own me

Titanic (1997) is a pretty well-known example. There isn't much of a lesson to draw from that movie that would have averted the disaster. It simply uses the disaster as a plot element to tell a story about love. >rejecting the idea

How can you judge whether someone's suffering is unnecessary? Only the author of the story knows that, because only the author knows how the story ends and how the individual arcs tie together.

I am aware of that, yes. I was making an analogy. The point of the analogy is that, even though Romeo and Juliet would likely not have considered their world "the best of all possible worlds," we (the readers) do consider their wo

Perhaps, but you aren't saving a ton of typing if you still need to specify all the types. I think you can get away with xs.morph(x => x*x) because you know that xs is a slice of ints, so x must be an int, and that means x*

I think people are taking your comment too personally. It's not about an individual doctor, but the healthcare business. It's not about an individual lawyer, but the legal business.

Unfortunately, most people agree that the ast package is a mess. It isn't used by the actual compiler. There is some talk of eventually deprecating it and publishing the internal ast/parser/type-checker packages.
