We recently went on vacation to Germany and rented a Polestar 2 from Hertz. The car was good but charging was infuriating. Had to download a new app for each charging spot and they didn't include a home-charging cable so we couldn

Nope. FB ("Meta") are shoveling cash onto a bonfire and will not reap the benefits because a competitor that people trust will beat them to produtc-market-fit long before they recoup their "investment".

Tesla can become the de facto charging station for all EVs which at a 100% markup on each kWh sold is a substantially higher margin than selling vehicles. Think of how profitable the oil companies with gas stations are. Tesla SuperChargers

We use it to write docs in our company which are then compiled by GitHub Actions and published as GitHub Pages. The best example of a Book produced with mdBook is the Rust Lang book: https://doc.rust-lang.org/book/

Robert, indeed I’m grateful for the answers people have given. Perhaps I asked the wrong question to begin with. I know better for next time to be more specific. Thanks.

Yes, "it depends". If you're building something internal and Desktop-only then maybe a Modal can be OK. But for a mobile-first app, you will never be able to test it on all the devices people use so consistent UI/U

Agreed. The DB is the bottleneck way before the code architecture. But that is a "solved" problem from a deployment perspective. All the Cloud providers have managed Postgres that scales to petabytes and millions of transactions
